iATS will contact you within 72 hours of signing your OneCause contract to discuss your merchant account set up. You will need an iATS merchant account before you can collect credit card information. The process flow is attached to this article.
NOTE: The iATS application process usually takes 2-5 business days to complete, so apply early enough to be finished by the time you want to start allowing guests to make purchases through your site.
Once you have received your OneCause Client Code from iATS, enter this in your Planner under Payments > Setup Payments.
NOTE: This number will start with a B (or in rare cases a 3) and end in a two-digit number starting with 7 or 8 (ex. BTEST80). This will be different from the code that you use to log into the iATS website.
To validate your account under Payments > Setup Payments, you will also need to enter your iATS account password as well as a Process Key. The Process Key can be obtained by logging into your iATS Customer Portal (https://www.iatspayments.com/login/login.html) and navigating to User Profile > Change Password and copying the Process Key field. If a Process Key does not already exist, simply click the Create New Process Key button to generate one.
Once credentials are successfully entered, you will see the word "VALID" in green. Should your iATS account password or Process Key change, you will see the word "INVALID" in red and have the ability to update those fields.
NOTE: You may change your merchant account at any time UNTIL a credit card has been saved. If you need to change accounts after cards have been saved, please contact the OneCause Support Team.
